Microsoft Releases New Windows 8 Update

Microsoft introduced GDR3 update for the OS Windows Phone 8. The updated OS will be available in several weeks.

GDR3 will support larger screen sizes (5- and 6-inch ) with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The support of Full HD displays will allow to place on the WP8-smartphones desktop up to 6 tiles instead of four.

The developers have reported that the new Driving Mode will enhance the safety of WP8-smartphones while driving. When you use your smartphone's Bluetooth the new mode will automatically reject incoming calls and messages. It will also be possible to respond automatically  to messages with the specific text entered by the user in advance.


GDR3 for Windows Phone 8 will get an updated feature that allows you to use the WP8-smartphone as an access Wi-Fi point  with the ability to connect to other devices via Wi-Fi, as well as devices running Windows 8.1 through Bluetooth.

Other WP8 OS update will affect the updated menu, work with apps, the screen orientation lock, improve personalization.

GDR3 Windows Phone 8 will be the last update of the OS before the release of 8.1 version.
