iPad Mini 2 Specs

Apple announced a series of new products including Apple iPad mini 2 - the successor to last year's iPad Mini.

Apple iPad mini 2 (official name - iPad Mini with Retina Display) is equipped with the 7.9 -inch screen with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, the orientation of 4:3 and 324ppi the pixel density.

The tablet is set with a more advanced chip - Apple A7, which guarantees a 4- fold increase in CPU performance and 8x graphics processor compared to the A5 chip in the iPad mini. 

Apple iPad mini 2 is running OS iOS7 and has a rich choice of memory options : 16, 32, 64 and 128 GB. Th device has Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Connector Lightning modules, the main camera is 5 megapixel, the front camera is FaceTime HD (1,2 megapixel recording 720p video ) .

iPad mini 2 doesn't have an implemented fingerprint scanner. Another small disappointment is that the tablet is 0.3 mm thickier (7.5 mm ) and 23 grams heavier (331 g ) than iPad Mini 1.

The market will get two versions of iPad mini 2 with Wi-Fi and 3G/LTE in silver-white and gray- black colored casing. Prices for the novelty start in the United States with $ 399 for the 16GB with Wi-Fi, and for the version with 128 GB of memory - $ 699. iPad mini 2 will arrive to the market in November.
