DreamWorks, Steven Spielberg's filmcompany, is almost ready to release its own tablet for $300. The device called DreamTab with screen 8 inchies is being developed specifically for children. According to the developers, it is well suited for teaching as it is equipped with a stylus.
The main feature of the tablet will be a set of proprietary programs that are installed on the gadget with the Android operating system. Most of the applications will be designed for the development of various skills of children, and DreamWorks heroes are taken for the main visual characters.
The company promises to update the software regularly, what is very important as DreamTab could become a disposable fluff. However, the developers have to prove in practice that they are ready to challenge hundreds of other Android gadgets and dozens of "children" tablets.
DreamTab will be shown at the CES in Las Vegas, which starts tomorrow, January, 7th.
